On-site clinic fills health care gap at Peoria high school

The health care clinic based at Manual High School in Peoria, Ill., has been averaging 20 patients a day in the two months since opening. The clinic, part of Methodist Medical Center's system of 29 in-school sites, fills a gap and is building relationships with students and providing needed access to individualized care, education and follow-up, nurse practitioner Amy Davis says.
