HHS submits latest HIPAA regulation for review

The HHS Office for Civil Rights has submitted for review by the Office of Management and Budget a final rule outlining revisions to the HIPAA security and privacy regulations, which include changes to a provision that allows covered entities not to disclose certain breaches. The OMB review is a final step before the rule can be released in the Federal Register.
