ACC's Chemical Activity Barometer signals moderate growth in 2013

The American Chemistry Council's Chemical Activity Barometer for March recorded a 2.9% increase in the three-month moving average compared with the same period a year ago. The index points to "generally expanding activity, into the third quarter, almost into the fourth quarter, signaling growth that would probably be about 2.5 to 3% in terms of industrial production," said ACC chief economist Kevin Swift.
