Congress resists Air Force BRAC proposals

Air Force proposals to reduce base infrastructure are meeting pushback from Congress, as some lawmakers have promised to block any new rounds of base realignment and closure. "We continue to believe [base realignment and closure] authority is a tool that we urgently need," Air Force Secretary Michael Donley said last month.
