Facebook will start clock on local currency display in third quarter

Facebook says it hopes to flip the switch on Facebook Credits conversion to local currency values by the third quarter, giving developers 90 days after the date to make the change. Facebook released an application programming interface in June, allowing developers to more easily monetize their applications by displaying an equivalent value in local currency numbers. In addition, Petr Mitrichev became the first repeat winner of Facebook's Hacker Cup championship for code-writing and problem-solving under pressure. The Russian also took the $10,000 prize in 2011.
