Fuller: Tower closures compromise safety

The closure of 149 air traffic control towers due to federal budget cuts is a threat to safety, AOPA President and CEO Craig Fuller told a group of pilots at a town hall meeting. "The White House does not understand the consequences of these actions, or they do and they simply do not care," Fuller said. "Either way, this approach is dangerous and should not stand."
