ICANN offers clearinghouse for Internet trademarks

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers is initiating a trademark-clearinghouse service, registering trademarks for $95 to $150 a year. The SIIA's Keith Kupferschmid advises trademark owners to get involved with the program to protect their brands. "We've been telling brand owners it's not that expensive to protect themselves and they ought to do it," Kupferschmid says.
