Iowa State veterinary school steps up security

The Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine has been tightening security with checkpoints and other measures, and it may add a guard. The school is potentially vulnerable because it is in a remote area and conducts sensitive research, said Warren Madden, senior vice president of business and finance for the university. Faculty and student observations help the school evaluate the changes on a monthly basis.
