Some popular procedures need more research, plastic surgeon says

"Vampire" face-lifts, fat transfers, cosmetic stem cell treatments and laser liposuction are among the increasingly popular cosmetic procedures that have not yet been proven to offer superior outcomes to tried-and-true methods, says plastic surgeon Jennifer Walden. More research is needed on the efficacy and safety of cosmetic stem cell treatments, she said.
