Air France plans to purchase new Boeing 777 freighter

Air France said it is likely to purchase Boeing's new 777 cargo plane to replace eight aging Boeing 747-200 jetliners. The airline would not comment on media reports that it will be the launch customer for the 777 freighter. Boeing has said it will begin offering the new 777 by the end of 2008.
