Anchorage LGBTs experience widespread bias, survey finds

More than 70% of respondents in a new survey of LGBT people in Anchorage, Alaska, say they have hidden their sexual orientation to avoid employment discrimination, and more than three quarters said they have experienced verbal abuse. The city’s voters are set to consider an LGBT non-discrimination ordinance on the ballot this month.
