ACC to contribute to EPA's TSCA chemical assessments

The Environmental Protection Agency is set to begin the evaluation of 23 common chemicals for health and environmental risks. The move is part of the Toxic Substances Control Act Work Plan and will primarily involve flame retardants. "Those of our members with expertise and information will contribute to EPA's planned assessment of these substances. These chemicals, including flame retardants, provide significant benefits and many have been subjected to reviews by national and international government bodies," said the American Chemistry Council.
