Mexican-Americans with diabetes have higher risk of dementia

Older Mexican-Americans undergoing diabetes treatment had a twofold increased risk of dementia and other cognitive disorders compared with their peers without diabetes, researchers reported in Diabetes Care. Researchers also noted a higher mortality risk in those with treated and untreated diabetes.
