"Sandboxing" doesn't always protect against malware, expert says

"Sandboxing" security technology can't provide 100% protection against malicious software, says Christopher Kruegel, who is chief scientist at Lastline, a security-software vendor. "A sandbox shouldn't be considered a silver bullet" because malware authors are keenly aware of sandboxing and have come up with ways to avoid the technology, Kruegel says.
