As he looks around his school, elementary school principal Steven Weber sees teachers serving as leaders. Some of them support student safety each day as kids arrive and depart from school. Others take part in designing and revising curriculum. In his recent ASCD EDge blog post, Weber encourages colleagues to take a look at their own schools. "If you don't have teacher leaders in these roles, there may be one or more teachers waiting for you to recognize their talents," he writes. Read on.
