Boomers learn from past and look forward to an encore

Looking back on the past few years, boomers admit to some small regrets -- wishing they'd exercised more, eaten less, saved more and borrowed less on the equity in their homes. Most boomers were aware of these cautions all along but didn't feel the urgency to act, says Nancy Schlossberg, a professor at the University of Maryland who has written extensively on life transitions. Looking ahead, though, the focus is on encore careers, Schlossberg adds.
