Demand for entertainment services drives a shift in Xbox use

More consumers are using Microsoft's Xbox 360 console to access streaming media than for playing online video games, the company says. Microsoft says the trend is in line with the company's intent that the device become a hub for digital entertainment beyond gaming. With the addition Tuesday of applications from HBO Go, Major League Baseball and Comcast Xfinity, Xbox Live now features 36 music, television and movie applications.
