Experts predict volatile oleochemical prices

Oleochemical prices will fluctuate widely this year because of volatile feedstock markets, sustainability efforts in the palm oil industry and global economic uncertainty, said BASF executive Harald Sauthoff. Also, potential tax changes in Indonesia could create an oversupply of oleochemical producers and products in the region, said consultant Alan Brunskill.
