Independent drugstores are lobbying state policymakers for special legislative protections that would allow them to collude against pharmacy benefit managers and raise prescription drug prices. PCMA President and CEO Mark Merritt said defeating these types of proposed laws would "be a victory for other businesses which don't have to pay more for prescription drug benefits."
