Liberty Global invests in Dutch cabler Ziggo

Liberty Global has acquired a 12.65% interest in Dutch cable provider Ziggo for about $808 million. The deal expands Liberty's presence in the Netherlands, where it also owns cable company UPC. Liberty Global has been in acquisition mode, having last month added U.K. cable TV-Internet operator Virgin Media to its holdings in a nearly $16 billion deal.
