Preferred route for wind-transmission project unveiled

Duke-American Transmission's proposed 3,000-megawatt, wind-power transmission-line project will thread through southeastern Wyoming before crossing into northwest Colorado and central Utah before ending in southern Nevada, the company said. The proposed route would have the least impact on surrounding areas and uses the most of existing and proposed transmission corridors across Wyoming, according to a spokeswoman. Duke-American will host four meetings in Wyoming to get the public's input on the proposed route.
