Sales of E85 in Minn. fell in 2012

Sales of E85 in Minnesota dropped to 14.7 million gallons in 2012, down 26% from 2011, according to the state Commerce Department. Experts attributed the decline to the narrowing spread between E85 and E10 prices. "Many E85 customers are sensitive to price. When the price difference goes down, they stop buying," said Robert Moffitt, spokesman for the American Lung Association's Clean Air Choice.
