Softbank's Sprint bid gets snagged in China vendor concerns

Softbank's bid to buy Sprint Nextel has run into a hurdle, as the U.S. government voiced concerns over the purchase of network supplies from certain overseas firms, such as China's Huawei Technologies, because of potential national security issues. The government reportedly will seek some oversight over equipment purchases as a condition for approving the deal.
