Overhaul of England's history curriculum is under way

England's Education Secretary Michael Gove has asked Harvard University academic Niall Ferguson to assist in reforming the country's history curriculum. Ferguson says one problem with history lessons is that they lack cohesion, and his goal is to provide a narrative of history for students from 1400 to 1914. Ferguson also suggests that schools spend more time on history lessons.
