Ag bankers eye potential bubble in rural economy

Agriculture bankers fear a bubble might be forming in the rural economy, according to a survey by Creighton University economist Ernie Goss. The Rural Mainstreet Index fell slightly between February and March but is still at a healthy level. However, growth and monetary trends in the 10 states surveyed worry bankers. "I still think we are on the bubble," said Dale Bradley, CEO of The Citizens State Bank in Kansas.
