Ala. city council puts off vote amending organized-events policy

The Huntsville, Ala., City Council decided to postpone a vote on amendments to the city's organized-events policy. While the amendments would update the policy for all organized events in the city, the measure was driven by increasing tensions between members of both sides of the abortion debate who gather outside the city's abortion clinic. The council will revisit the issue April 25 to allow for more public input.
