Hospitals are missing out on a social media opportunity

Boomers are open to information -- including medical information -- they receive via social networks, and many marketers are taking advantage of the fact. But only about a quarter of U.S. hospitals participate in social media. So most are missing an opportunity to manage their message online and create the kinds of communities and discussions that can boost their image, writes John Bassounas.
