Ill. students follow in King's footsteps with their own march

Students from Franklin Junior High School in Illinois recently took a nearly 9-mile march to mirror King's 1968 March on Memphis, part of efforts to help students better understand the experiences of Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil-rights activists in the 1960s. The students also were raising funds for a planned field trip to Memphis, Tenn., to visit the National Civil Rights Museum, at the site of King's assassination, as well as other historical places in the city.
