La. city council passes more stringent debris removal requirements

The New Orleans City Council last month amended city rules on debris removal to include more specific requirements in an effort to combat pollution. The requirements include removing demolition and fire debris within 72 hours and keeping dry material debris damp or covered to prevent airborne pollution.
