EMI is sued over Doobie Brothers royalties

London-based recording giant EMI's North American operation is being sued for non-payment of royalties by Bluewater Music Services, which supervises royalty payments to songwriters. The lawsuit alleges that the record company didn't pay royalties to music writers on a group of songs that were used in compilation albums and as ringtones.
