Australia business leaders urge continuation of Asian studies

Australian business leaders are advocating for the continuation of funding for a programme that supports Asian studies in school. The programme, which could lose funding at the end of the year, includes lessons in the language and culture of China, Indonesia, Japan and Korea. Business leaders say today's students likely will interact with those countries in their careers, and eliminating Asian studies will do them a "disservice."
