Exxon's chemical chief seeks to maintain core strategies in recovery

ExxonMobil Chemical's exceptional performance in 2010 resulted from the company's flexibility in feedstock supply and an effort to foster integration within the company's chemical and refining businesses, said Stephen Pryor, vice president of ExxonMobil and president of the company's chemical unit. The company will stick to those long-term strategies, Pryor said. "You have to take a long-term approach to this business, because this up-and-down, roller-coaster cycle" will always be part of the U.S. economy, he said.
