Obama urges Congress to approve $21B infrastructure funding plan

A $21 billion funding package to enhance U.S. infrastructure should be passed by Congress to bolster investments in construction projects, said President Barack Obama. Spending on infrastructure upgrades could stimulate economic and job growth, Obama noted. "There are few more important things we can do to create jobs right now and strengthen our economy over the long haul [than rebuild] our infrastructure that powers our businesses and our economy," he added.
