Despite index's gain, analysts call housing-price report "mixed"

The Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller home price index was up 0.3% on a seasonally adjusted basis in January, but analysts say the modest rally may be coming to an end. The index tracks home prices in 20 cities. Because it tracks prices on a three-month basis, the most recent report includes figures from November, when sales were strong.
