Standards board questions why few women become financial advisers

The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards wants to find out why so few women become financial advisers. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that women account for 31.2% of U.S. financial advisers. A panel will research the challenges that confront female advisers, said Marilyn Mohrman-Gillis, managing director of public policy and communications.
