Syngenta, Dow sign cross-licensing deal over biotech corn seeds

Syngenta and Dow AgroSciences have signed an agreement to cross-license their biotech corn seeds, which are designed to tolerate insects or herbicide, for an undisclosed amount. The deal includes the nonexclusive licenses of Dow's Herculex I Insect Protection trait for broad moth control and Syngenta's Agrisure GT trait for resistance to the herbicide glyphosate.
