Study shows mobile-desktop divide in health searching

A new digital divide has emerged in the searching of medical advice, according to a Pew Internet and American Life Project survey. Smartphone-armed young people are searching topics such as HIV, pregnancy and herpes, whereas desktop-oriented older folks are looking up gastroenteritis, heart attacks and gout, for example. Media agencies such as Digitas Health are noting the trend and crafting strategy accordingly.
