7-year fundraising effort nets $1B for Syracuse University

Syracuse University has raised slightly more than $1 billion through a seven-year fundraising campaign, the largest in the university's history, according to a final report released Monday. Among other things, the money has gone to open new facilities and fund 53 endowed faculty positions, including 36 faculty chairs and professorships. The campaign officially ends in December.
