Engineer: "Don't let stereotypes stand in your way"

Nickie Hunter is an engineer with the New Hampshire Department of Transportation who admits she has run into some gender bias in a field still dominated by men. However, she says she has always loved this kind of work, and encourages girls in school to pursue engineering if they have a passion for it. "Go for it. If you have a sense that this is something that is important to you and something you look forward to, then do it," she said. "Don't let stereotypes stand in your way."
