India ranks high globally for app adoption

India is the second-largest global source of Android app developers and the largest source of downloads on several popular application stores, according to data from vserv. The market may be accounted for by the young and growing domestic audience for apps, with 52% of users in the 18-24 age bracket, compared with 29% for those aged 25-35.
