Lawsuit raises bias-related questions on degrees of disability

Employers are not necessarily protected from bias claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act just because they replace a disabled worker with someone who has a similar disability, Patrick Dorrian writes. In a recent case, a deaf woman argued that she was discriminated against by a school district when she was replaced by a worker whose hearing loss was not as severe as hers, he writes.
