Mo. Senate OKs telehealth bill; census will affect Medicare coverage

The Missouri Senate has backed a bill to require insurers to pay for telehealth medical services as they reimburse for in-person care. Meanwhile, counties in many states, including Minnesota, will lose Medicare telemedicine coverage as they become classified as urban instead of rural due to demographic changes. Two counties in Missouri and three in Indiana will gain coverage because of the change.
