Adam Grant, the youngest-tenured professor at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, says helping colleagues is the best way to boost productivity and creativity. "I never get much done when I frame the 300 e-mails as ‘answering e-mails,’ " Grant says. "I have to look at it as, How is this task going to benefit the recipient?”
