Chief of House budget panel says he "misspoke" on budget, apologizes

Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis. and chairman of the House Budget Committee, has apologized and said he "misspoke" when he said last week that Pentagon generals weren't being honest about the military's budget needs. "Yes, I totally misspoke. It was not the impression I meant to give. I talked to Gen. Dempsey on it and expressed that sentiment," Ryan said on ABC's "This Week" in reference to Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
