Qualcomm blurs laptop-smartphone lines with quad-core chip

Just as Intel has tried to invade the smartphone arena, wireless-chip leader Qualcomm wants to enter the laptop sector with a quad-core chip that some industry observers say demonstrates how the line between the two technologies is disappearing. Qualcomm has prepped a laptop version of its Snapdragon S4 chip that will enable PCs to become smaller and lighter, with always-on 4G connectivity.
