Bill would require N.C. technologists to secure license

Lawmakers have introduced a bill in the North Carolina legislature that would mandate medical imaging and radiologic technologists to be licensed. The bill, to be reviewed by the state Senate Committee on Health Care, will establish the North Carolina Radiologic Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners if passed. Licensing standards would cover various practice areas, including nuclear medicine and invasive cardiovascular procedures.
