China confirms 4 more human cases of H7N9 avian influenza

China has announced four new human cases of the H7N9 avian influenza strain that killed two people and infected another, bringing the total human infection count to seven. The new patients are hospitalized in critical condition. Public health officials believe the virus is not readily transmitted between humans because 255 people who had contact with those who were infected have not shown signs of illness.
