EPA's GHG-reporting rule could see adjusted warming variables

The Environmental Protection Agency is considering changes to the variables used to consider the potential of global warming as part of federal regulations on greenhouse gas reporting. Methane's warming potential would increase under the proposal, for instance, while the potentials for nitrous oxide and sulfur hexafluoride would decline. The EPA is accepting public comment through May 17.
