IRS lists most egregious tax-fraud schemes of the year

Identity theft tops the U.S. Internal Revenue Service's list of scams for 2013. Tax fraud involving identity theft has been a growing problem. Fake electronic communication, or phishing, to request taxpayers' personal and financial information comes in second. Fraud concerning a tax-refund preparer is third on the list.
