Jennifer Siebel Newsom calls for stronger female roles in games

Jennifer Siebel Newsom, wife of California’s Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, is calling on the video game industry to do more to feature strong female characters. "We have an opportunity in gaming to teach young boys to value women — to not perpetuate these extremes of masculinity," she said recently at the Game Developers Conference that was held in San Francisco.
